Ceramic Coating on Metal Surface

Advanced ceramic coatings for metal components — thermal barrier protection, extreme wear resistance, and non-stick surfaces for demanding industrial and automotive applications.

Overview

Keiteq Direct provides ceramic coating services for metal components requiring extreme performance in high-temperature, high-wear, or chemically aggressive environments. Ceramic coatings — applied by thermal spray, plasma spray, or sol-gel processes — deliver properties that no organic coating can match: thermal barrier performance up to 1,600°C, hardness exceeding 2,000 HV, and chemical inertness across a wide pH range. Applications include engine components, cutting tools, industrial wear parts, and non-stick cookware. Ceramic coating is coordinated through our vetted specialist partners under a single contract and quality system.

Capabilities

  • Thermal spray ceramic coatings (alumina, zirconia, chromia)
  • Plasma-sprayed thermal barrier coatings (TBC) for engine components
  • Wear-resistant ceramic coatings (WC-Co, Cr₃C₂) by HVOF
  • Non-stick ceramic coatings for cookware and food processing
  • Sol-gel ceramic coatings for corrosion and oxidation resistance
  • Dielectric ceramic coatings for electrical insulation
  • Suitable for steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and titanium substrates
  • Coating thickness from 50 µm to 2 mm depending on application

How we work

Our Process

01

Surface Preparation

Metal substrates are grit-blasted to the specified surface profile (typically Sa 3 / Rz 60–100 µm) to maximise coating adhesion. Bond coat is applied where required.

02

Coating Application

Ceramic powder or suspension is applied by the specified process — thermal spray, plasma spray, HVOF, or sol-gel — to the specified thickness and density.

03

Post-Treatment

Coated parts are heat-treated or sealed as required to achieve the specified porosity, hardness, and surface finish. Grinding is performed where tight dimensional tolerances are required.

04

Inspection & Testing

Coating thickness, hardness, adhesion, and porosity are measured and reported. Thermal cycling tests are performed for TBC applications. Approved parts are packed and delivered.

Why choose us

Key Benefits

Extreme Temperature Resistance

Zirconia-based thermal barrier coatings withstand surface temperatures up to 1,600°C — protecting metal substrates in combustion chambers, turbine blades, and exhaust systems.

Exceptional Wear Resistance

Tungsten carbide and chromium carbide coatings achieve hardness values of 1,200–2,000 HV — extending component life by 5–20× in high-wear applications.

Chemical Inertness

Alumina and chromia ceramic coatings are chemically inert across a wide pH range — ideal for chemical processing equipment, pumps, and valves handling aggressive media.

Non-Stick Performance

Ceramic non-stick coatings for cookware and food processing equipment are PFOA-free, food-safe, and more durable than PTFE-based coatings.

Electrical Insulation

Alumina ceramic coatings provide electrical insulation with dielectric strength up to 20 kV/mm — used in power electronics, plasma equipment, and induction heating systems.

Single-Source Supply

Ceramic coating is coordinated alongside fabrication, machining, and assembly under one contract — eliminating inter-supplier logistics and quality handoff risk.
